The cast of Friends have been papped out and about in London ahead of the show's 20th anniversary.

Well sort of.

To celebrate two decades of great friendship British photographer Alison Jackson - who is famed for her fake celeb photography - has given the guys a London 'fakeover' with spoof pictures showing the cast riding a London Tube and dashing into a black taxi.

In one picture Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) and Matthew Perry (Chandler) can be seen peering over a map of London on a tube as Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) applies her make up and David Schwimmer (Ross) day dreams out of the window.

In another the gang are seen jumping into an iconic black taxi outside an airport.

The fake photos have been released in the run up to the show's anniversary on September 22 which will mark exactly 20 years since the first episode aired in 1994.

Last week Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow performed a piece of Friends fan fiction on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The American chat show host unveiled a replica of their West Village kitchen and handed the three with a script.

Warner Bros. are planning to unveil a replica pop up Central perk coffee shop complete with the iconic brown sofa in New York.

The final episode of the decade long series was watched by 52.46 million people in the US and 8.6 million in the UK.
