Ezra Miller says he was “repeatedly assaulted” as a teenager for being gender fluid — but now uses his acting skills to frighten off would-be attackers.

The American actor, 26, who stars in the new Fantastic Beasts film, identifies as queer and experiments with clothing, including sometimes wearing dresses.

Miller told ES Magazine: “I’ve been physically attacked in public for wearing short floral overalls. I’ve been attacked in New Jersey, New York City, Asheville, North Carolina at a Waffle House.

“I was repeatedly assaulted as a young teenager, for being weird and gender ambiguous. They couldn’t figure out if I was a boy or a girl, and they thought that was hilarious and also despicable.

“There were also boys who wanted to make out with me because they thought I was a girl. And when they found out I wasn’t, they were very angry, as if I’d been deceptive.”

Miller starred as the psychopathic killer Kevin Khatchadourian in 2011 film We Need To Talk About Kevin.

He said he uses his “Kevin Face” to ward off would-be attackers.

“It’s one of my go-to modes to avoid violent confrontation,” he said. “I give people psycho face. Then I’ll start throat singing. Or I’ll reach into the back of my pants like I have a gun.”
