Eva Green believes sexism is still an issue in Hollywood and there are not enough good roles for women - but television is slowly changing things.

The actress is shooting the second series of the Showtime and Sky TV horror Penny Dreadful.

Green told the Standard: “There are simply not enough good roles for women and for the last 20 years it has been so male-dominated and continues to be so.” But she added: “Television is perhaps changing the shape of the industry. The special gift of long-format scripted drama in TV means you can explore characters in far more depth.”

The 34-year-old is the face of Campari's 2015 calendar. In pictures taken by fine art photographer Julia Fullerton-Batten, Green can be seen dressed in custom made gowns with a Campari drink in hand as she drapes her arm over the wheel of time, packs a suitcase and takes to the boxing ring.

Green follows in the footsteps of Uma Thurman and Penelope Cruz.
