Danny Dyer has slammed Jeremy Kyle for making entertainment out of other people’s despair on his ITV show.

The EastEnders actor was on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio One Breakfast Show to discuss his new book, Life Lessons from the East End, when he launched into an attack on Kyle.

Speaking about his dislike of the TV personality he said: "It's not necessarily him as a man, it's his show.

“I can’t stand the geezer, which is probably a bit strong as I’ve never met him.”

The actor – who plays Mick Carter in the long running BBC soap – then described what would happen if he met Kyle.

“If he swings a right-hander at me we'll see what happens,” he said. “Imagine Jeremy Kyle swining a right hander, that would be funny. I'll just choke him."

Dyer also voiced his distaste for Loose Women, telling Grimshaw to “swerve it”, and Radio 2 host Steve Wright who he said was an “odd boat”.

Reality stars weren't left unscathed as he hit out at the "nonsense" Kardashians, telling Grimshaw: "Stop swanning around like you've got some sort of talent, because you haven't."

He later joked that he is the new Shakespeare.

“I’m very tired I’ve been promoting my book ‘cause I’m an author now,” he said. “I’m a young Shakespeare coming up in the ranks.”
