Eamonn Holmes has offered to listen to those struggling amid the current coronavirus crisis.

The 60-year-old presenter told his 1 million followers on Twitter last night that he was “here for a few minutes” to listen to people struggling either “physically or mentally” with the pressure of Covid-19.

"Anybody struggling out there?" he wrote. "Physically or mentally? Can't get to sleep? Here for a flew [sic] minutes if you want a word."

Fans praised Holmes for making his time available to reassure those finding the current situation difficult.

Holmes is also providing a welcome distraction from coronavirus when he hosts ITV’s This Morning on Fridays alongside his wife Ruth Langsford.

Other celebrities are offering their time, status and wealth to try and aid the public as nations struggle with the global crisis.

Piers Morgan previously offered to pay any parking fines issued to NHS workers as they helped people fight the virus.
