Jennifer Lopez has reportedly made it clear to the staff working on her new home that they may not speak to her.

The former 'American Idol' judge is currently building a huge new mansion in San Fernando, California but those working on the home have reportedly been warned they must not interact with the 43-year-old star.

A source told the Daily Star: "She has made it clear that if any of the contractors, drivers or domestic help made eye contact or speak to her she will not be impressed.

"This is despite the fact this is a long-term project so some of the workers will be on site for up to a year."

Perhaps Jennifer's recent inclusion on the Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women List has gone to hear head.

The singer-and-actress made her debut at number 38 in the magazine's annual list while Shakira and Sofia Vergara also made the top 100, coming 40th and 75th respectively.

Moira Forbes, the head person at ForbesWoman, said of the list: "This year's Power Women exert influence in very different ways, and to very different ends, and all with very different impacts on the global community."
