Love Island fans have threatened to turn their backs on 2018 champions Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham after they revealed they have become a family of three.

The reality TV couple, who have been plagued by reports they are on the verge of a split, introduced their followers to their new pet bulldog Sandy.

Dyer shared several videos of their adorable new addition on route back to their London flat, while Fincham posted a picture of their “baby” in a personalised bed.

But fans criticised the pair for buying a dog from a “posh puppie farm” instead of adopting a dog in need of rehoming. Others accused them of treating the animal like an “accessory”.

One wrote: “Could've just adopted a mongrel from battersea, shame on you.”

Another posted: “Posh puppie farm. Hope Noel the supervet comes down hard on you!!!”

A third wrote: “Poor baby, just became another fashion accessory.”

Another commented: “Poor dog.. unfollowing @danidyerxx now..”

Others defended the TV duo and urged them to cherish their time with Sandy before she gets bigger.

One posted: “I’m sure u have done your homework on the breed enjoy every min of being a bully owner u both won’t regret it.”

Another wrote: “She is gorgeous ..... and will grow so quickly .... make the most of every minute.”

Dyer posted a video of Sandy after a night of ‘crying’. Speaking in the clip she said: “What did you do to mummy last night? Did you wee and poo all over her floor? And did you cry all night like I’ve had a baby? Yeah you did didn’t you?”

Another video shows her stroking Sandy, who she referred to as her “little piglet”.

Dyer and Fincham have been plagued by reports their relationship is on the rocks due to the strain of work commitments.

The pair have been “at each other’s necks,” according to a source who also told The Sun “tensions between them are mounting”.

But a spokesperson for the couple dismissed the claims, telling Standard Online: “We try not to pay too much attention to all the gossip. We’re just really happy at the moment and are enjoying spending so much time together filming our new show.”
