Christine Lampard has revealed she enjoys embarrassing husband Frank Lampard by calling out people who push past her with her pram.

The Loose Women panellist told how she uses taking her daughter Patricia, who she welcomed in September, out as a “social experiment” to see who will help her and who barges past her when the door is being held open.

She told her fellow panellists: “Since having the wee baby, I do almost a social experiment every time I go out, and there have been so many women who can't wait to run on past.

“But so many men have helped and held the door open for me.”

Lampard added that she often leaves her other half “mortified” by shouting at rude strangers.

She explained: “I mortify Frank as I have got quite cheeky, when someone just storms on through I shout out 'thank you, you're welcome!' I get so much satisfaction out of that.”

Lampard told her co-stars how she can constantly hear crying since she has become a mother.

She explained: “I have that loads [where I can hear a baby crying] even when [Patricia] is in the house fast asleep. I still think, ‘what was that noise?’

“You’re just on high alert. I’m brave enough now to get her out of the pram and have her on my knee. Nothing really scares me, whereas, in the early stages you’re like, ‘oh my gosh what if she starts crying?’”

She went on to reveal that she named her tot after her mother-in-law, who she never met.

She said: “It was Frank’s mum's name so that’s where it comes from. So Patricia was Frank’s mum, who I sadly never got to meet, he was obviously incredibly close to her. It’s one of the biggest sadnesses that I never got to meet her.

“She passed away the year before we met so Patricia was her name so we’ve gone with the traditional grandmother name. It’s Patricia Charlotte and Charlotte was my grandmother’s name. We’ve gone very old school.”
