The Vamps today released their music video for Wake Up starring Brooklyn Beckham.

The 16-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham joined Connor Ball, Tristan Evans, James McVey and Brad Simpson as they filmed the video for their new single.

Filmed in Los Angeles, the video sees Beckham setting off a V shaped flare before jumping off of a roof and joining the band as they perform atop a 100ft radio tower.

Clearly excited by the opportunity to star in the band’s video, the eldest son of the Beckham clan took to Instagram on Sunday where he wrote: “Had so much fun filming with these dudes@wearethevamps.”

The British pop band said they thought Beckham was “cool” and approached him by text to take the lead in the video.

Speaking on Loose Women McVey said: "I was speaking to him online and then texting him a little bit, and then we knew we were both in LA at the same time and we thought it would be cool to get him involved really.

"I sent him a text and asked him if he'd be the lead role and he said yes."

Fans caught a glimpse of the youngster in a teaser video tweeted on Friday, the same day as the single was released.

On releasing the single the band described Beckham as "super nice" and "crazy talented".

They said: “Making the music video for Wake Up was something we were super excited about! It has been a year since we did our last shoot, and we were eager to get involved in a new one.

“This video was something we had never done before; we performed on top of a radio tower, 100 feet in the air. It was pretty scary, but absolutely awesome.

“We were lucky enough to have Brooklyn Beckham in the video, he’s a super nice guy and crazy talented.”

Wake Up is the lead single from The Vamps’ new album, which follows on November 27.
