Blake Lively throws picture perfect baby shower in fairy tale woodland setting

Blake Lively only announced the news that she was expecting her first child last week, but the Gossip Girl actress has already thrown a picture perfect baby shower.

The 27-year-old - who is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds, 37 - took to her Preserve blog to share pictures with fans from the lavish woodland bash.

Alongside the photos the actress wrote: “With a new baby on the way there is so much to do! But before experiencing the joy of 3am screams, seemingly impossible amounts of poop and having a favourite shirt covered in reflux… there are presents to open, onesies to dye, there is cake to serve, advice to be shared and all around celebration to be had. And that we did…”

Wrapped up in a heavy winter coat and scarf, Blake can be seen smiling at the camera as she holds up a three tier woodland inspired cake. In another photo she is cradling her bump in a flowing Sam and Lavi dress in front of a washing line of baby clothes.

As well as eating plenty of healthy snacks and unwrapping gifts, Blake and her friends look to have been busy with arts and crafts as they hung up a line of tie dyed baby bibs and vests.
