The elevator spat between Solange and Jay Z may have put a strain on the Knowles family unit but both sisters were all smiles for their first red-carpet appearance together since that infamous lift incident.

Jay Z chose to avoid the event entirely, which raised money to promote education, health and justice for women around the world. His wife, on the other hand, donated $500,000 to the charity on the night.

Solange went on to launch a DJ set on the turntables, while Beyoncé mingled with the crowd including Blake Lively, who shot to the top of best-dressed lists with a chic mustard-coloured minidress.
