Bella Hadid has revealed she feels at her “most beautiful” because she is finally comfortable in her own skin.

The supermodel, 22, said loving relationships and good health had also helped her feel her best.

In an interview with LOVE 20.5 Magazine, she said: “I kind of was always searching. So I guess when I felt most beautiful was very recently, in the past two years, when my health was at its best, my love was with me and around me.

“I just felt very comfortable in my own being, instead of looking for the person I should be through others.”

Hadid was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. She is dating musician The Weeknd and often stars on the catwalk with sister, Gigi, 23. On their relationship, she said: “Growing up I was definitely not the most confident person. Growing up with an older sister meant I had things to look up to, but I could never find myself.”

But Hadid added: “I define myself by what’s on the inside. I stay true to my moral compass at all times and look to my family and friends for guidance and support.”

Hadid also appears in a shoot for the magazine creatively directed and styled by Katie Grand. She wore a studded swimsuit by Norma Kamali and shoes by Gina Couture and a sparkling black swimsuit and shoes both by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, top.

Hadid has previously spoken about Lyme disease, which is carried by ticks and causes flu-like symptoms and cognitive impairment. She told ES Magazine: “It affected my memory so I suddenly wouldn’t remember how to drive to Santa Monica from Malibu. I couldn’t ride my horse.”
