Annabel Giles became the first contestant to be voted out of the I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle - then launched a strong attack on former campmate Amy Willerton.

She told hosts Ant and Dec there were little signs that it was not a level playing field, and the model carried a massive handbag which other contestants suspected contained cosmetics and other items they were not supposed to have.

"This is just an allegation and, you know, I apologise, and I will to her face, if I'm wrong," Giles, 54, said.

The 21-year-old beauty queen did not really do anything around the camp, she said.

"I tried to get her to do the washing up one night, because she doesn't really do anything around the camp, so I tried to get her involved, and she took high offence," she added.

"We're all of the same feeling, we're just concerned that perhaps you out here don't know. So I've decided to sacrifice myself on the altar of truth, actually, and integrity."

Giles, who joined the ITV1 show late, with dancer Vincent Simone, said taking part was "quite tough".

She said: "It's a lot harder, there's all sorts of things you don't see in just an hour's show."

Viewers saw her terrified and screaming in the presence of the programme's famous "critters".

She said: "I don't know where this fear of bugs comes from, I didn't know I had it. My kitchen is quite clean."

Earlier talk show host Matthew Wright won the latest Bush Tucker Trial to gain himself immunity from eviction in the first vote-off, along with Simone, fashion designer David Emanuel, swimmer Rebecca Adlington and former EastEnder Laila Morse.

However all those taking part face possible eviction in today's second vote-off.
