Amy Schumer posts racy selfie to promote National Gun Awareness Day

Amy Schumer has stripped off for a racy selfie to help promote National Gun Awareness Day.

While she might not be known for her Kardashian-style social media snaps, the comedian decided to raise awareness of the cause in the most attention-grabbing way possible.

The 35-year-old shared a picture of herself wearing just an orange bra top, to encourage people to wear the colour in support of the campaign.

She wrote: “Today please #WearOrange for gun safety @Everytown.”

The Trainwreck actress wasn’t the only star to don orange clothes on Thursday as the likes of Chelsea Handler, Julianne Moore and Kim Kardashian all got involved.

After posting a rather raunchy picture of herself earlier in the day, Kardashian later covered up in a baggy orange sweatshirt.

“It's gun violence awareness day #wearorange,” she wrote.

Schumer has just announced that she will be bringing her critically acclaimed stand-up show to the UK for the first time this summer.

Announcing the news on her Twitter account on Thursday, Schumer revealed that she would be playing a one-off London show at the O2 on September 4.

The day before, the comedian will be performing at the Apollo Manchester and will be on stage at the Edinburgh Playhouse on August 30.

The star, who fronts her own TV show Inside Amy Schumer, will also make stop-offs in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Dublin, Oslo and Copenhagen.
