Amanda Holden has confirmed she will return to the next series of Britain's Got Talent.

The 41-year-old star has been on the judging panel of the ITV1 show since it started in 2007 and says she will be back when it returns to TV screens in 2013.

She said: "I am not really allowed to say this, but I know I am doing it next year. I'll enjoy it while it lasts."

Amanda, who was joined on the panel this year by David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell and has previously worked on it with Piers Morgan, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff, also revealed how she took Alesha out for coffee when she was announced as a new judge because she didn't want there to be any "publicity-driven, manufactured rows".

The mother-of-two, who is currently hosting new Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber show Superstar, added: "I met her for coffee before the whole thing started and said I won't tolerate any of this Cheryl-Dannii X Factor rubbish that was in the papers because I can't stand it."
