Adele’s new single Hello has become the fastest-selling of the last 18 years.

Proving that she’s still a force to be reckoned with, the pop superstar’s comeback track has broken a number records.

Hello is the first single to top 400k sales in each of its first three weeks since Elton John’s Candle in the Wind back in 1997.

The single’s black and white video broke Vevo records when it racked up 27.7 million views in its first 24 hours alone.

This pushed Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood, which had 20.1 million first day views, into second place.

Hello went on to be viewed a staggering 100 million times in its first five days.

Talking about forthcoming album, 25, which is released on Friday, she said:

“25 is about how I make myself feel as opposed to how a horrible boyfriend makes me feel."
