The two surviving members of US girl group TLC have won the Mobo Award for outstanding contribution to music.

Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas will be in Liverpool for the ceremony this weekend, along with stars Emeli Sande and Rita Ora.

The group, which also included Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, had a string of hits in the 1990s including No Scrubs and Waterfalls before Lopes's death in a car crash in 2002.

Dionne Warwick will pick up a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony hosted by Miquita Oliver and Adam Deacon.

JLS, Conor Maynard and Labrinth will also appear in Saturday’s 17th annual Mobo Awards.
