50 Cent has been criticised for accusing a member of airport staff of being on drugs after he failed to respond to him in a video.

The US rapper – real name Curtis Jackson III – posted a video to his Instagram account which showed him ridiculing a male cleaner at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

In the clip – which has since been deleted – 50 Cent can be seen following the man and saying: “This new generation is crazy. They’re crazy.

“Look at him. What kind of s*** you think he took before he got to work today?

“He’s as high as a mother f***** right here in the airport. Pupils dilated and everything.”

The cleaner was later identified online as 19-year-old Andrew Farrell.

His father, Kent Farrell, branded the rapper’s actions “sickening” and disputed any suggestion that he was intoxicated.

“It’s just sickening, very hard to watch,” he told US television channel WLWT5. “To put this out there saying my son is on drugs or whatever, that is part of his social anxiety.

“He’s not wanting to talk, he’s not wanting to communicate, he’s walking on and he’s doing his job.”

His mother Amanda Kramer called for the Candy Shop singer to apologise for his actions, saying: “He’s very upset. The more I thought about it, the more upset I got, the madder I got. This could hurt him for the future.

“I think he needs to retract it and I would like for him to make a public apology.”
