Britney set for 'secret' comeback gig

After busting a sweat with her daily dance workouts, Britney Spears is said to be ready for her close-up.

According to E! Online the star has lined up a series of semi-secret shows in Los Angeles next week.

The Toxic singer was said to have spent the day in rehearsals at club 'Forty Deuce' for a surprise performance at the venue where she was previously pictured swapping clothes with scantily-clad dancers.

Club owner Ivan Kane confirmed Britney "came on stage during rehearsal, looking very hot, with four dancers and sang three songs."

"They ran through the set several times, the choreography was smokin' and she sounded great", said Kane.

But Spears decided that she needed more time to rehearse for her comeback performance, and left fans disappointed.
