It's that time of year again - when a gardener's fancy turns to flowers. After a run of London-based events showcasing ideas for the urban gardener with limited time and space, the focus swings back to flowers and plants with the Royal Horticultural Society's Late Spring Show. Expect thousands of seasonal plants to buy, expert advice on how to get the best out of your plants, plus displays of prize-winning blooms, such as lilies.

Highlights include a fragrant display of roses from the National Rose Society Competition and, for the space-conscious urbanite, a demonstration of miniature trees and shrubs from the Bonsai Kai Society. If you're looking for floral inspiration, you can't go wrong here.

Royal Horticultural Society Late Spring Show, Tue 23 & Wed 24 April, Lawrence Hall, Greycoat Street, SW1 (020-7834 4333)
