Blade star charged with £6m tax fraud

Actor Wesley Snipes was charged yesterday with eight counts of tax fraud totalling £6.4million.

The Blade star, 44, is accused of trying to cheat the US government out of the money by filing false tax returns in 1996 and 1997.

He was also charged in Miami with failing to file returns between 1999 and 2004.

Snipes faces up to 16 years in prison if convicted.
