When David Beckham appeared as a surprise presenter at the Diana Concert introducing Take That, he was sporting a new 'zebra' look - shocking peroxide hair set off with dark stubble

Yet the striking contrast with his black beard and ice-white hair did nothing to dim his appeal for the thousands of fans in Wembley Stadium.

It was a family affair for David Beckham, who kept an eye on his precious charge Cruz

Clad in brown leather and sporting a handsome smile, it was Beckham that drew arguably the biggest cheer of the night.

This yin-yang look is just the latest in a series of bizarre haircuts for the footballer. While other people change their look with a new dress or piece of jewellery, Beckham does it with his hair.

The trendy footballer, who was joined at the event by wife Victoria and sons Cruz and Romeo, has previously shaved off his locks leaving closely shorn stubble, sported mohicans, and been accused of dipping into his wife Victoria's peroxide bottle.

For many however, David epitomises the metrosexual male who is not afraid to invest in his looks (and hairdresser) while remaining a sporting and family man.

David's appearance was one of his last in the UK before he moves Stateside to begin his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.
