Celebrity Big Brother winner Bez today admitted he planned to smuggle drugs into the house before the show.

The ex-Happy Mondays star decided against the plot because it was too risky and he realised he was in there to ease his financial problems.

The "Freaky Dancer" was the shock victor of the Channel 4 contest as he beat teenage heart-throb Kenzie, despite the rapper being red-hot favourite.

"At the end of the day I realise I was there for a reason, for my family and to get me out of this trouble and I couldn't ever bear the risk of losing the lot," he said.

"I had had these mad plans what I was going to do but at the end of the day I couldn't do it because this money I've got now means so much to me.

"I may be a bit of a drug addict, man, and I really thought 'I ain't going to last this fortnight'.

"That's why I was so ill the first four days, sweating, shit coming out of me.
"I was ill, I went through a rough patch."

The 40-year-old said he got no help because no one knew what he was going through.

The dancer said he now wanted "a big fat spliff".

Speaking of his money problems he said: "I've got a hole so deep that I've got to climb out of and now I can do it.

"I've got bankruptcy on my case, all sorts of shit going on and now I can just pay my bills and walk straight with no stress.

"I thought I might have to lose my house."
