A new waxwork of Benedict Cumberbatch has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London - so everyone get your selfie sticks at the ready.

The Sherlock star has finally been immortalised in wax, for all to see, touch, and pose with at the waxwork museum in London.

Benedict has been placed in good company too, joining the lookalike figurines of Dame Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.

The 38-year-old is the latest star to join the ranks of the museum, and has spoken about his excitement for his waxy doppelgänger debut.

Cumberbatch said: “What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I’ve been accused of being wooden in my work, but never waxy!”

The actor, whose latest role is playing Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, helped out with the artists behind the waxwork, and sat for two sittings so that the figure captured the perfect likeness.
