David and Victoria Beckham dined at The Ivy with TV chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana to discuss a pre-World Cup dinner for the England captain and his team.
Ramsay, a former Glasgow Rangers defender, is to cook a morale-boosting feast at the Beckhams' Hertfordshire home.
Last night's meeting reflects a burgeoning friendship between the Beckhams and the Ramsays, who appear to have much in common.
Gordon and David can discuss football while Victoria and Tana can talk fashion and children.
They have seven between them. Oh, and they quite like publicity, too.
Early signs of the friendship came at the New Year when the Ramsays invited the Beckhams for a dinner party at their south London home.
