BB does politics in blazing row

The Big Brother house erupted in discord today in a row over politics.

Party girl Emma, dubbed the new Jade for being dippy, clashed with Ahmed, a former asylum seeker.

The pair lashed out at each other after Emma asked the 44-year-old, who fled the civil war in Somalia, why he didn't leave the UK.

She said she thought Ahmed had a right to be in the country, but asked why he decided to stay in Britain if he disliked the government.

The contestants start screaming at each other, with Ahmed, a Muslim property developer, shouting at her: "This is my country, I love my country!"

The row began when hellraiser Kitten accused housemates of "ignorance" after they failed to see eye-to-eye on the treatment of homosexuals and asylum
seekers.

Dan caused her temper to explode when he said that other groups in society, like blondes, face prejudice too.

Ahmed came to Kitten's defence, saying "You cannot compare asylum seekers or gays with blondes."

Earlier in the day it appeared that the housemates may have beaten the reality show at its own game.

Unbeknown to the housemates - producers have arranged for the evicted contestant to stay in a hidden room in the house where they will spy on the others.

The housemates thought they had discovered a secret room with a bed, but a show spokeswoman said it was a camera unit and not the secret hiding place.
