Leg break blow for Sagna

Bacary Sagna
6 May 2012

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna will miss the rest of the season and France's European Championship campaign after suffering a broken leg in Saturday's match against Norwich.

The full-back pulled up during the first half of the 3-3 Barclays Premier League clash against Norwich at the Emirates Stadium.

Sagna had suffered a similar injury against Tottenham last October, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: "It is broken fibula, the same leg."

Wenger added: "He was kicked on it, it has not happened alone.

"When he was kicked, he has broken the leg.

"The guy closed him down and walked on him. I don't know if it was deliberate or not."
