Usain Bolt will return to the Olympic Stadium for the Anniversary Games in July, organisers have confirmed.

The six-time Olympic champion has been added to the bill for the IAAF Diamond League meeting during the event at the Olympic Park, which will take place from July 26-28.

Bolt will run the 100m on the Friday evening and take part in the 4x100m relay the following afternoon. It will be his first appearance in a Diamond League meeting in London since 2009.

Bolt, who last summer repeated his Olympic treble from Beijing with gold in the 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m, said he was looking forward to returning to the scene of his latest triumph.

"I'm looking forward to coming back to the UK, especially with it being a year since winning three gold medals in the Olympic Stadium," he said. "The crowd were amazing at the Games, and I hope they will be out again in their numbers at the end of July.

"I haven't competed at the London Diamond League since 2009 but it has always been a great meet with lots of Jamaican support - it almost feels like running at home."

Kim Collins, who missed last summer's Olympics with injury, will also race in the 100m.
