Two men arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager whose body was found on the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk have been released on bail.

Norfolk Police made the arrests earlier in connection with human remains, identified as those of missing Latvian 17-year-old Alisa Dmitrijeva, which were found on the estate in Norfolk on January 1.

The men, aged 28 and 31 and from the Wisbech area, were released pending further inquiries after being questioned at a police station in King's Lynn.

The body was found by a dog walker in a field near the village of Anmer, less than a mile from Sandringham House where the royals were in residence for their festive break.

Miss Dmitrijeva was last seen alive in August and police believe her body had been in the field since September.

She lived with her grandmother and had studied beauty at West Anglia College.

Speaking after the discovery, Miss Dmitrijeva's grandmother, from Wisbech, said: "Our family has been left devastated and in a state of grief and sorrow at the sad and untimely loss of our beautiful daughter, granddaughter and sister Alisa.

"We have read about distressing things like this in the paper happening to other families but we never thought anything would happen to us.

"Our hearts have been broken in the way Alisa was taken from us and we hope no other family has to suffer as we have."
