Robinson threat charge man remanded

Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson is the latest political person to receive a threat amid growing unrest over removing a Union flag

A 34-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with threatening to kill Northern Ireland's First Minister.

Darren Scott, from Croft Court in east Belfast, was charged with threatening to kill Peter Robinson and improper use of an electronic communications network.

Scott, who is unemployed, made no reply when the charges were put to him at Newtownards Magistrates' Court.
