The newborn baby whose rescue from a 3-inch sewer pipe in China this week captivated the world has been returned to his mother after authorities decided he accidentally slipped into a toilet.
The boy has been taken home from hospital in Pujiang county by the unmarried woman, 22, and a man believed to be the father — although he has requested a paternity test.
