Nine people are dead and 150 more are injured following a major head-on collision between two trains in southern Germany.
Fifty of those hurt are were critical conditions following the accident at about 7am near the Bavarian town of Bad Aibling, police said.
All survivors have now been taken to safety and investigators are beginning to look through the wreckage for clues about the cause of the deadly crash.
The two regional commuter trains collided on a single track between Rosenheim and Holzkirchen, a short drive from Munich.

One is thought to have derailed and several carriages overturned.
German federal police told reporters that the crash took place "in an inaccessible region" near to the Mangfall river, which hampered rescue efforts.
A police spokesman added: "This is the biggest accident we have had in years in this region and we have many emergency doctors, ambulances and helicopters on the scene.”

The city blood donation centre in Munich has put out an urgent call for donors in the wake of the accident.
In a post on its website, the Munich Blood Donation Service said there was "an acute increased need for life-saving blood products" and asked donors to come "right now" to the donation centre.
The trains' operator, Meridian, is part of French passenger transport firm Transdev.
State-owned Deutsche Bahn is responsible for the track. The line has a system that makes a train brake automatically if it goes through a red light.

The two services that collided are popular with commuters as well as schoolchildren, but schools in the region are currently broken up for a winter holiday.
