This is the moment a marathon runner got a horrific nose bleed then went on to win the race.

Volha Mazuronak from Belarus was taking part in the European Championship women’s marathon in downtown Berlin, Germany on Sunday when she got a horrendous nose bleed.

The 29-year-old was photographed covered in blood just 30 minutes after beginning the race.

Initially there were fears the freak incident would cause her to lose her place in the race, but the impressive athlete went on to complete the marathon.
