Rihanna has blasted US President Donald Trump for using one of her songs at his “tragic rally”.

The singer condemned Mr Trump after finding out her hit Don’t Stop the Music was used at one of his rallies and became the latest celebrity to lash out at the president for using their music.

The Grammy-award-winning artist said her music would not be used “for much longer” after learning her 2008 song was used at his rally on Twitter.

In response, the 30-year-old tweeted: “Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up.”

Rihanna’s swipe at Mr Trump came hours after she urged her Instagram followers to vote in the upcoming midterms. US voters will head to the polls on Tuesday.

She urged followers to vote for Democratic candidate Andrew Gillum for governor of Florida.

She wrote: “You have the opportunity to make history this election. The US has only had four black Governors in its entire history, and we can help make #AndrewGillum the next one and Florida’s first!”

Rihanna has become the latest celebrity to attack Mr Trump for using music at his rallies, following on from artists such as Pharrell Williams and Adele.

Pharrell had previously sent Mr Trump a legal challenge over his use of the song Happy.
