R Kelly is facing a fresh accusation that he appears in a video tape sexually abusing underage girls.

Nursing home worker Gary Dennis claimed he was clearing out old VHS tapes when he found what he thought was a video of the R&B star in concert. But he said the footage showed a man who appeared to be Kelly involved in inappropriate scenes with young girls.

Mr Dennis told a New York press conference he had a “moral duty” to hand the tape to police and inform lawyer Gloria Allred, who is representing a number of women who claim they were abused by Kelly.

Ms Allred said she believes the tape shows a separate incident from 10 sex abuse charges Kelly faces in Chicago that are linked to four alleged victims, including three minors.

But she admitted she could not be “100 per cent certain” the singer is the man in the video.

Kelly, 52, denies being in the video and all the charges filed against him. His lawyer Steve Greenberg said: “It’s not him … It is irresponsible to continue to take the speculation of every Tom, Dick and Harry, and report it as if it is fact.”

Mr Dennis said he did not know how the tape came to be at his Pennsylvania home, but believes it was given by a friend.

He added: “R Kelly appeared to be on the tape… sexually abusing underage African-American girls. I was disgusted.”

He claimed Kelly was “telling them what to do and what to say, and it appeared he was in control of the camera”.

In an interview broadcast last week, Kelly angrily dismissed accusations of sexual impropriety. He was jailed after failing to pay child support but released after the debt was paid on Friday.
