Hacker group Anonymous has declared "war" on Islamic State following the Paris terrorist attacks.

The group has released a video warning IS to expect “massive cyber attacks” after the atrocities on Friday night, which killed at least 129 people.

The message is delivered in French by a man in a signature Guy Fawkes mask, who says: “Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down.

"You should know that we will find you and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you.

“Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared.

"The French people are stronger than you and will come out of this atrocity even stronger."

The masked “hacktivist” group first launched a campaign against Islamic State after the Charlie Hebdo killings in January.

The group claims to have already hacked and taken down more than 2,000 Twitter accounts linked to the terrorist group.

In a written statement also sent out today and aimed at IS, the group said: "We are coming to get you, we will be hitting you harder than ever.

"We don't need to tell you to expect us because we have already proven ourselves time and time again to you but you still show no regard for mankind."

The attacks on Friday killed at least 129 people and wounded 350, after terrorists opened fire and set off explosions across Paris.

On Monday, French police mounted more than 160 raids across the country and arrested 23 people since the attacks.

The "mastermind" behind the attacks was identified as Belgian terrorist Abdelhamid Abaaoud.

The 27-year-old is believed to have planned the attacks from Syria and has also been linked to the thwarted attack on a Paris-bound train in August.
