Kim Jong-Un may pull out of North Korea’s highly anticipated summit with Donald Trump if the US unilaterally insists it gives up nuclear weapons.

The rogue regime’s first vice foreign minister said the state’s leader has no interest in attending the talks if it is going to be a “one-sided” affair.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Kim Kye Gwan also criticised the US President’s security advisors comments on advice to the “Libyan model of nuclear disarmament.

On the planned North Korea-US summit, he said: "We will appropriately respond to the Trump administration if it approaches the meeting with a truthful intent to improve relations.

"But we are no longer interested in a negotiation that will be all about driving us into a corner and making a one-sided demand for us to give up our nukes and this would force us to reconsider whether we would accept the North Korea-US summit meeting."

The meeting between Mr Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un, which came about after North Korea said it was committed to denuclearising the Korean peninsula, is scheduled to take place on June 12.
