A city in Mexico is hiring one lucky jobseeker to enjoy a six-month holiday staying in luxury hotels by the beach.

The dream job in Cancun, which looks out onto the Caribbean Sea, comes with a comfy salary of £45,000 but rent and all expenses will be covered.

The ‘Cancun Experience Officer’ – or CEO – will get paid to explore the city and record videos, take photos and write about their experiences.

The job advert, on Cancun.com, reads: “We're looking for a brand ambassador who can showcase the warmth, wonder and essence of Cancun as one of the world's premier vacation destinations.

"As CEO, you will get the chance to swim with whale sharks, explore the jungle, investigate ancient ruins, and much more.

"Over a period of six months, you'll research, capture, record, and represent the destination for Cancun.com."

Bosses are looking for someone with a “unique eye for capturing stories, a warmth in interacting with others, a self-motivated work ethic, and a dedication to producing high-quality work”.

The lucky employee will be housed in luxury hotels and resorts for the entire stay.

Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English. Applications are open until December 17 and candidates must record a video to be in with a chance.
