Johnny Depp has been seen doodling during his ongoing defamation case before sharing the artwork with his lawyer.

In the now-viral clip, Depp was captured on the court camera focusing on a document in front of him before handing the paper to his legal representative Benjamin Chew.

Depp’s attorney then reached for his glasses and looked closely at the drawing and nodding while his client smiled before whispering in his ear.

A close-up of the doodle appears to feature a portrait of a face.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor’s drawing was caught on camera during Tuesday’s hearing amid the ongoing defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

It was filmed while the court was waiting for Tara Roberts - Depp’s island estate manager and witness - to join the hearing via a video link, according to the New York Post.

The footage has since been shared countless times on TikTok after a social media profile spotted the amusing moment.

The post, which has amassed millions of views, was posted alongside the text: “TEAM JOHNNY!!! Watch what he passes to his attorney.”

Following the viral moment, Depp was also pictured during Wednesday’s session colouring purple and pink figures on a sheet of paper as they waited for the jury to be seated.

Depp has been testifying against Heard in the ongoing defamation case currently being held at a Fairfax County courthouse in the state of Virginia.

The actor is suing his ex-wife for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence, claiming the article damaged his acting career.

Heard is also countersuing Depp for £100 million after being accused of lying.

In the last few days, the court has heard testimonies from estate manager Tara Roberts, clinical and forensic psychologist Doctor Shannon Curry and LAPD Officer Melissa Saenz.

The highly publicised court hearing is expected to last six weeks.
