This haunting aerial footage shows what Auschwitz concentration camp looks like 70 years after its liberation.

The footage, filmed from a flying drone for Holocaust Memorial Day, shows row upon row of red brick buildings where Jews were housed before they were killed during the holocaust.

It is the largest of the Nazi death camps where more than one million people were systematically killed.

Now a World Heritage Site, Auschwitz is visited by thousands every year, serving as a tragic reminder of the horrors of the war.

Holocaust Memorial Day falls on January 27 every year, and also marks genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
