This is the moment a cyclist was almost knocked from his bike when a kangaroo leapt over his head on a country road in Australia.

The footage taken by a camera mounted on the back of a bike shows two riders cycling together along the road near Humbug Scrub, north of Adelaide.

The animal jumps from the roadside and straight over cyclist Michael Bland’s head before bouncing away into the distance.

Mr Bland quickly ducks his head and manages to escape unharmed.

Fellow cyclist Peter Roberts filmed and posted the footage on Facebook with the caption: “Today’s excitement: Attack of the Roo. Note. No animals were harmed in the making of the video.

“Michael Bland however needs to buy a lottery ticket.”
