A £142 million EuroMillions jackpot could make a single ticket-holder the UK's third biggest ever lottery winner.
The draw, which is due to take place at 9pm, has an estimated jackpot for would leave a single player who matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Star numbers the 793rd richest person on the Sunday Times Rich List.
If won, the £141 million jackpot would be the first to be won in 2018 and the third biggest win ever in the UK.
The biggest lottery win in the UK - and across Europe - remains that of Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, North Ayrshire, who scooped a £161,653,000 EuroMillions jackpot in July 2011.
Adrian and Gillian Bayford, from Haverhill, Suffolk, won £148,656,000 in 2012 and an anonymous ticket-holder won £113 million in October 2010.
In 2017, there were seven UK jackpot-winning tickets, one of which belonged to Welsh syndicate The Catering Girls, who shared a £25 million jackpot in November.
