Canadian radio host blasted for suggesting lipstick be banned at work because it 'simulates sexual arousal'

A Canadian radio host has been blasted for suggesting lipstick should not be acceptable in the workplace as it simulates "sexual arousal".

Stefan Molyneux, who also describes himself as a "peaceful parent" and philosopher, prompted a backlash when he tweeted his views on makeup on Friday.

He wrote on twitter: "So strange. Do you know that female lipstick simulates sexual arousal?"

Following this he asked rhetorically if his followers could "imagine" if a male went to work with a "giant artificial" penis "straining at his pants".

He then said: "Yet lipstick is perfectly acceptable in the business world."

After this he posted a link to a study which suggests a link between the colour of a woman's lips and their attractiveness, while also stating it is because lip colour can change due to sexual arousal.

He was frequently lambasted for his post and it was called one of the "stupidest things I have ever seen" by one person.

Another simply wrote: "This doesn't make any sense."

Others said it was his tweet that was strange, not that lipstick is worn to work.
