Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stepped into the boxing ring for his latest role - as a comic book character.

The 44-year-old appears on the cover of an issue of Marvel’s “Civil War II: Choosing Sides”, due to be released on 31 August.

Clad in a Maple-leaf tank top, boxing gloves and shorts, he is surrounded by members of a Canadian superhero group.

In the story, he advises a team of Canadian superheros. In real life, Mr Trudeau took part in a charity boxing match against a Conservative senator in 2012.
