A boy has been rescued while clinging on for his life from the remains of a bombed building in Aleppo.

Footage shows a rescue worker pull free the boy, who is pinned by rubble on the flattened upper storey of a destroyed building.

The distressing clip was published by the Aleppo Media Centre, an outlet which aims to report on the civil war from the perspective of young Syrians.

The boy is badly injured and in shock but is eventually freed and taken to hospital.

Captured: The incredible moment a Syrian boy dangling from a destroyed building is rescued

The footage is an example of the trauma inflicted on children in the Syrian conflict and particualrly in the rebel held area of Aleppo.

The economic capital of Syria has become the focal point of brutal warfare between opposition forces and Bashar Al-Assad’s government.

A post written in Arabic under the YouTube video of the boy attributes the bombing of the child’s home to “Russian aircraft.”

Russia is an ally of the Assad regime and has been accused of bombing civilian targets.
