Bizarre moment BBC broadcast is interrupted by HUGE insect

This is the bizarre moment a huge insect interrupted a BBC news reporter during a live broadcast.

Adam Fleming was giving viewers of BBC's Politics Live an update on Brexit negotiations when the bug flew onto the screen behind him.

Speaking during a live broadcast from Brussels, Mr Fleming briefly stopped his update and said: "What is that?"

"Oh my goodness," host Jo Coburn added. "Keep focusing on us."

She then warned Mr Fleming the bug was "above his head" as it crawled up the screen before flying away.

Speaking online a few hours later, the BBC reporter wrote: "DO NOT PANIC. Brussels has not been invaded by giant insects.

"It’s a normal sized bug very close to the lens of the camera that films the background."

Responding to his post, one Twitter user replied: "If those were real size bugs I can appreciate the first logical argument made an end to free movement."

"Kremlin bugs are a bit obvious these days," another added.
