More than 60,000 people are to be evacuated from homes in the centre of Frankfurt after authorities discovered a huge unexploded World War Two bomb in the city.
The bomb was found by astonished workers at a construction site near Goethe University Frankfurt in the German city on Tuesday.
The bomb - the type dropped by British bombers during the war - contains 1.4 tonnes of explosives, city councillor Markus Frank said.
Police have said the bomb is so big thousands of homes would have to be evacuated. It is currently being guarded by officers.
A radius of 1.5 kilometres (nearly a mile) around the bomb will be evacuated as a precaution ahead of the disposal itself, which is expected to take about four hours.
The mass evacuation will take place at about 8am local time on Sunday.
Officials are describing the planned evacuation as Germany's biggest yet, though similar operations are still common more than 70 years after the war ended.
Authorities are expected to release further details in a press conference on Thursday.
In May, around 50,000 people had to leave their homes in Hannover temporarily for a bomb disposal.
On Christmas Day in 2016, another 50,000 were evacuated from Augsburg in south Germany after a 1.8-ton bomb was discovered near an underground car park.
