It’s time for millions of people across the UK to put on their jazziest jumpers for one day to help make the world better for children in the UK and around the world.

The first Christmas Jumper Day took place in 2012 and, since then, it has been an annual event.

Save The Children has reportedly raised an astounding £30 million since its founding, to serve children across the world.

The Government has pledged to contribute the same amount as you do this year. When you donate £2 to Save the Children, they also donate £2. The organisation is hoping to help mums and babies in Kenya with the extra cash.

How to take part and donate on Christmas Jumper Day 2022

You can wear a Christmas jumper to school, work, or wherever you’re attending on December 8.

Save the Children used to work with retailers to design new Christmas jumpers that would be sold. They have chosen not to do it this year. The charity is encouraging the reuse of previous years’ jumpers instead.

All you have to do is sign up on the Save the Children website. Once you’re on the website, you will be prompted to create a username and password.

Alternatively, you can show your support by setting up a JustGiving fundraising page online and raising money. With the charity’s focus on sustainability, no paper fundraising packs will be sent out this year.
