This is the moment a young boy in a top hat and tails boldly greets the Queen as she spoke to Dubai royalty at the Epsom Derby.

Confident Mohammed bin Ahmed Jaber Al Harbi is seen approaching the Queen in the racecourse paddock and interrupting her conversation before taking off his top hat and offering his hand.

The bemused monarch, who had been inspecting the running schedule for the day, holds out her gloved hand to the youngster and they shake hands briefly.

She looks perplexed as the youngster turns on his heel and strolls off, flashing a cheeky grin at the camera.

The Queen, wearing a flowery dress, yellow coat and sunhat, had been talking with racing advisor John Warren who can be seen chuckling at the mischievous youngster's etiquette in the short clip which has gone viral.

The youngster was at the Epsom Derby on Saturday with his grandfather, Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, and father, Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Hamdan is one of 12 children and is heir to the emirate of Dubai.

Unfortunately for Dubai's ruling family, they saw their horse Jack Hobbs - owned by the emirate's Godolphin stable - beaten into second place during the Derby.
