Two people are being questioned by police on suspicion of murdering a woman whose beaten body was discovered inside a house.
A man, aged 30, and women, aged 35, were arrested on Saturday alongside a 33-year-old woman and man who were later released by detectives.
A post-mortem examination revealed the victim, whose body was found at about 11.45am on Friday, died of multiple blows to the head.
Specialist search teams were on Saturday scouring gardens, waste bins and drains near the address in Southampton, while police reassured local residents they did not believe the killing to be a random attack.
Forensic searches of the house in Broadlands Road, Portswood, were also carried out, while two vehicles were recovered and removed from the address for examination.
Investigators appealed for anyone who may have seen or heard anything that might help the police with their inquiries to contact them.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "Detectives would like to reassure residents that they do not believe this to be a random attack but they have to remain open-minded.
"They also believe that there is no increased risk to the local population, including the many students who live in that area of the city."
The two suspects are being detained by police in Hampshire.
The victim has not yet been identified and police are still trying to trace and inform her next of kin in India.
